The week before last we were at the Circle Craft show in Vancouver and a man named Murray came in to buy two tea towels. I am guessing he was about 70 and he chose one towel about walking and another about ice cream. He then explained to us that twice a week he does a walk with his exercise group and then they all go to McDonald's for ice cream. He said that the cones at McDonald's are only $1.89, whereas they are $3.79 at the Dairy Queen. After some discussion about how good he felt about the savings...

It was almost a month ago when my daughter Lucy called to say that her boyfriend’s grandfather was going to attempt to break the Guiness Book of World Records record for the oldest person to do a headstand.

I was riding down my street today to drop off muffins at my friend Lizzie’s while trying to think what subject I should write about and that's when I realized that maybe my street was a good idea. I know a bit about this street having lived here for 21 years.
